As you have heard, we lost a member of the STC family on March 7, 2012. We are deeply saddened and shocked at the unexpected loss of Jared Neff, our Bookings Manager. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones.
The Shakespeare Theatre Company will hold a public memorial to honor and remember Jared on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street NW). Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the memorial will start at 5:30 p.m. The memorial will be a celebration of Jared’s life and his great love of musical theatre.
Jared was a valuable and loved member of the Shakespeare Theatre Company staff, with a promising career ahead of him. His love for all things theatre and his immense determination were felt by the entire D.C. theatre community. He is certainly missed by everyone at STC as well as the community he served so well at the Harman.
Prior to working for STC, Jared held positions in the D.C. area at both Arena Stage and the Olney Theatre Center. He was very active in theatre throughout his entire life, even venturing back to his hometown each winter to teach students who had a similar interest as he in producing theatre.
