STC is joining #OpenYourLobby

Shakespeare Theatre Company supports those protesting in Washington, D.C. by offering a space to recharge and rest while marching in support of Black Lives Matter.

The lobby of Michael R. Klein Theatre in Penn Quarter (450 7th St NW) will be open on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7 from 10 a.m.–6 p.m.

Shakespeare Theatre Company staff will be on hand to welcome protestors and offer bottles of water and some light snacks (as supplies last). The restrooms will be open, there will be outlets available for phone recharging, and there will be seating available in the lobby.

We ask that all who visit the theatre adhere to social distancing guidelines, wear masks at all times, and be respectful of each other’s needs. We will limit the capacity to ensure the health and well-being of all.
