View: Photos of the making of a Madonna Statue

Check out the following series of photos that show the progression of Props Painter/Sculptor Eric Hammesfahr’s work on a Madonna statue for ROMEO & JULIET.

The Madonna statue appears on set during scenes involving the Clergy; changing the world from secular to sacred. The statue is hand carved referencing photographs out of foam, coated and placed on a rolling cart to make her roll on and off stage quickly.
