Padua Finishing School
A place for those who are never finished
Creating a real-life place for commerce, creativity and community, throughout the run of The Taming of the Shrew STC’s lobbies will host a series of make-and-take workshops and life-hack seminars. This Finishing School playfully challenges the traditional finishing school lessons and encourages life-long learners to explore new things. Led by some of the area’s best artists and makers, these workshops can serve as a standalone event or accompany a performance of The Taming of the Shrew. After all, as Iskandar’s production suggests, a person is never a finished product. Like paintings, we are still drying; like terrariums, we are constantly growing; and like any one of our life hacks, there is still much to learn. Let’s begin.
