January 29, Washington, D.C.: Amid a season focused on expanding the concept of classical theatre and embracing inclusive programming under new Artistic Director Simon Godwin, Shakespeare Theatre Company is delighted to share new discount ticket programs in effect for the 2019/20 Season. Together the programs will improve access to the Company’s productions for a wider audience in the Washington, D.C. area.
Starting today, January 29, STC will launch a $20 ticket lottery program, which will give theatregoers the opportunity to access $20 tickets to upcoming productions of the 2019/20 Season, beginning with James Baldwin’s The Amen Corner. The lottery for William Shakespeare’s Timon of Athens will open next week. Each lottery will run for two weeks at a time and winners will be given a unique promo code to purchase up to four tickets for any performance during the first two weeks of the show’s run.
Patrons may visit https://www.shakespearetheatre.org/account/ffa_lottery_login.aspx?eve=7:30 to enter.
STC is also pleased to introduce a special discount just for our neighbors.
