Friday, December 13, Washington, D.C.: After a high-flying opening night on Monday, December 9, the Shakespeare Theatre Company will add several more performances of this “majestically magical” production (DC Metro Theater Arts) of Peter Pan and Wendy, adapted by Lauren Gunderson from J.M. Barrie’s classic play and directed by Alan Paul. Due to popular demand, theatregoers now have two more chances to fly off to Neverland and catch this “must-see for the holidays” (The Georgetown Dish).
The added dates will be on Wednesday, January 1 at 2 p.m. and Sunday, January 12 at 7 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at ShakespeareTheatre.org/events/Peter-Pan-and-Wendy-19-20.
STC is also excited to offer, for the first time ever, a relaxed performance of Peter Pan and Wendy on Saturday, January 11 at 2 p.m. During this performance, patrons will enjoy a full performance of Peter Pan and Wendy, with elements such as lighting and sound adjusted slightly to reduce the sensory experience of the show, and patrons are invited to respond openly to the performance in a completely judgment free zone. Tickets to this relaxed performance are limited to $35 and $65 and will be general admission, to allow patrons to come and go into the house as they please. Tickets may only be purchased by phone through the box office at 202.547.1122.
